8- Hitsy This song was originally titled "Hope Its You" Then it adquired the nickname "Hitsy" and "Hitsy" it is! Its kind of a chick song and I can tell because Susi likes it a lot and I don't care for it that much. I wrote it when I was with "The Nations" in the late 80's. |

4- The Anchor of My Life I recorded it a few years ago in a porta studio type recorder- just two guitars and two voices in harmony. Thought about re-recording it but decided to keep it as I like the vibe. Added a string pad bass . |

6- You Make the World Shine I love this old song. I wrote it in college a long time ago. Roy and I used to sing it in the 70's. Again, like #4 it was recorded in the same old porta studio andit made the album because I liked the vibe. Sure, I could have re-recorded it and made it slicker but it would not have been the same... |
13- A Little Bit Of This And That Hum, another what life is all about song- what's going on here? Well actually this one is about taking life as it comes and flowing with it. This song was originally from a now defunct (who knows maybe one day it will get re-written) space musical I wrote quite a while ago- how it happened to become the title of the album is another story. What happened was that Gary Brandt sent me this picture he took with his cell phone when we went to Ivar's castle (in Hollywood) for a party. Eventhough the quality wasn't the best I loved the picture and decided I wanted it in the album, |
possibly as the cover. I then told Susi, "when I make some 'real money' I'm buying Ivar's castle"-She laughed and humored me, of course- then I showed her the list of songs in the album and ask her opinion as to which could be the title song for the album- "Little Hope" she said- "that's how much hope you should have for buying Ivar's castle!" It still remains to be seen if Susi can doctor the picture enough to get it to be the album cover. |
